I am a singer, cantor, educator, and storyteller.
In July of 2013 I made Aliyah (immigrated) to Israel with my husband, Donald Goor, and our cat, Merlin. We currently live in Jerusalem, Israel where I am on the faculty of Hebrew Union College.
For 25 years I was the cantor at Temple Isaiah, a Reform Jewish congregation in Los Angeles. I was also on the faculty of Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles where I served as the cantor of the campus synagogue..
A few years ago, I received my doctorate in music education from Boston University. My doctoral research examined how music at Jewish summer camps in North America influences the development of Jewish identity.
My one man show, “Shards: Putting the Pieces Together” chronicles my Aliyah and my grandparents’’ immigration from Russia to the United States. I hope you will bring the show to your community.
I'm also an avid long-distance runner, having completed many marathons, half-marathons and ultra marathons. When you're in Jerusalem-let's run together!
